Dynetics is seeking a Cash Application Specialist to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems.. The Candidate's responsibilities would initially include processing all cash receipts and the filing and maintenance of all accounting and billing documents. The Candidate will interface with internal and external customers. The position will also include assistance with retrieving information for auditors and internal departments. Candidate will need to take direction and work to complete tasking with limited guidance. An additional duty would include ensuring all documentation is correctly filed in order to quickly access when questions arise or audits are needed. Position will require a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail - candidate must be comfortable asking when uncertain about how to proceed. 


Basic Qualifications

Individual must have a BS degree in accounting or finance with 2+ years of applicable experience.

Or in lieu of a degree a HS diploma or GED with 6+ years of applicable experience.

Candidate must have working knowledge of Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office software products.

Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

  • Reconcile unbilled receivables, troubleshoot and resolve out of balance accounts

  • Perform a detailed analysis and reconciliation of billed amounts versus recorded revenue

  • Support audit requests by DCAA, external public auditors, and internal audit as necessary

  • Perform collections procedures for one or more businesses supported by this role

  • Assist with troubleshooting billing/system problems

  • Handle cash applications process

Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint would be helpful, but not mandatory.
