Dynetics has been selected by NASA to participate in the development and demonstration of a Human Landing System (HLS). Dynetics is seeking project engineers, systems engineers, mechanical design engineers, electrical engineers, structural and thermal analysts, manufacturing engineers, test engineers, technicians, and operators to join a diverse team in support of the development of the HLS that will carry the first woman and next man to the Moon by 2024.
Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking talented Structural Engineers/Analysts to join a diverse, highly-skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems involving space systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective intelligence, engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Structural Engineer/Analyst will support the Dynetics Space Division with development of a human lander system and support equipment. The candidate's primarily responsibility includes analysis of structural hardware, assemblies and complex systems. The position requires an understanding and application of analytical methods, finite element models and simulations, and other analysis tools to produce models and perform analyses for a variety of aerospace related products. This includes hand calculations as well as detailed stress analyses utilizing standard industry software programs. The candidate must possess a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must have at least one (1) year of direct experience performing structural analysis, or with development of aerospace products (Internships and Co-Op Positions count toward this requirement)
Candidate should not have more than ten (10) years direct experience performing structural analysis.
Candidate must be able to write technical reports and to present results to a multi-disciplined team.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preference shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
