The Requisitioning & Strategic Outsourcing Manager to enhance the material acquisitioning process and assist in developing a comprehensive network of capable suppliers for aerospace, defense and commercial needs. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Strategic Outsourcing and material acquisition processes. This candidate will be responsible for documenting and improving material acquisition processes, conducting market analyses to identify best-in-class suppliers, managing the qualification process for these suppliers, managing all Division Out-sourcing activities and leading an effort to develop Supplier Score-cards for future assessments. This Manager will be the focal point of coordination with Purchasing, Engineering and Supplier Quality Management, must be detailed oriented and have a high passion/drive for Continuous Improvement. The ideal candidate will possess the ability work with Division & Department leadership to contribute to strategic planning and long-term vision for the Fulfillment team.IND2
Candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Supplier Quality, Logistics,) or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must have five (5) years of Logistics, Supplier Quality, Out-sourcing and/or Buyer Experience.
Candidate must be knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing principles (5S+1, Kaizen, Leader Standard Work, etc.)
Candidate must be able to quickly learn to lead Continuous Improvement Events and be familiar with Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
Candidate should be familiar with Value Stream/Core Team concepts and implementation into a Manufacturing Support Operation
Candidate must have strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong personal organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Candidate must have experience in using Statistical and other problem-solving techniques (Fishbone, 5-Why, Shainin, etc.)
Candidate should have previous experience with developing Process flows and Work Instructions (WIs)
Candidate must be familiar with a Visual Workplace/Visual Management
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preference will be shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in technical field or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
