Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Production Control Scheduler to join a dynamic team focused on manufacturing of complex products. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering solutions.

The Production Control Scheduler will work in all areas of Production Control supporting both Defense and Commercial programs. The selected candidate will ensure all work performed during the production control process is compliant with Dynetics quality management system and contract requirements including AS9100 and/or AS5553.

Areas of Production Control include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating and distributing program schedules (knowledge of Cable Harnesses production is preferred)
  • Coordinating activities among cross-functional teams to include including Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Product Management
  • Leading meetings and analysis to ensure production schedule and contractual obligations are met
  • Incorporating schedule changes resulting from ECO’s, Make/Buy decisions, and revision changes.
  • Determining Change Effectivity dates
  • Managing Manufacturing Order release and fulfillment process
  • Monitoring and reporting Production capacity, and Purchasing activities, and critical shortages
  • Demonstrable experience across various ERP systems to include MRP and MES, using including Deltek Costpoint, SAP, or similar tool

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's of Science or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.

In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a production environment is required.

Candidate must have at least five (5) years of working production control in similar manufacturing programs.

Candidate must have the ability to interpret mechanical/electrical design changes and their impact to a manufacturing process.

Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.


Other Qualifications

Preferred candidates will also meet some of the following:

  • Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint
  • Familiarity with Cable Harness Assembly


Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Candidate must possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
