Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Junior Systems Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. The position will perform engineering tasks in a dynamic environment to develop a variety of products in support of Military SATCOM, and commercial programs. Candidate will work closely with PM, supported customers and design teams to develop products following the systems engineering lifecycle. Candidate will be responsible for defining requirements, supporting the system architecture definition & design development, and the validation & integration for hardware/software products.
Candidate will collaborate across multiple disciplines to include mechanical, electrical, software, modeling, simulation, safety, and reliability to identify applicable requirements and then ensure the requirements are met while avoiding requirements creep.
The team consists of highly skilled developers with strong fundamental skills that value utilizing new technologies, identifying best practices, exercising peer reviews, and exceeding customer expectations.IND3
-Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree, and preferably a Master’s Degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent. The candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree, must have 5-10 years of experience, or 3-8 years of experience with a Master’s Degree.
-Candidate must possess experience and skills in software engineering for requirements, design, and test development and management necessary for the implementation of code in a given programming language (such as C#, C++, or Java).
-Candidate must have strong leadership abilities, must be able to solve problems independently with minor direction, strong organizational skills, and work ethic to coordinate team-tasking while concurrently and independently self-tasking.
-Candidate must be required to recode operating system and support software attached to the core OS
-Candidate must have 1+ year(s) or equivalent of experience in accordance with paragraph Understanding and experience with development and integrations activities in accordance with paragraph’s 4.5.b and 4.6.b. in the Statement of Objectives.
-Candidate must have Wireshark parser development experience.
-Candidate must have 1+ year(s) or equivalent of Wireshark parser development.
-Candidate must have 2+ year(s) or equivalent of Linux server and OS development; ideally with Slax.
-Candidate must have 2+ years or equivalent of GNU Radio experience and through implementation understanding of PSK, FEC, and other digital modulation processes.
-Candidate must have 2+ years or equivalent of networking experience.
-Candidate must be a resident of the Colorado Springs area or willing to relocate to the Colorado Springs, Colorado area.
U.S. Citizenship and a current Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance with SCI eligibility is required. Must possess active SCI clearance with current investigation (within last 4.5 years) and be able to maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
