This position will support the packaging design and testing of electronic and energetic systems for missile, rocket, aviation, and ground support related projects. Responsibilities will include design and analysis of electronic packaging, engineering support for fabrication, environmental test planning and execution, and operation of special test equipment.IND3
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience in one or more of the following disciplines: mechanical design, electronics packaging, testing, and manufacturing support.
Candidates must have demonstrated excellent communication skills suitable for interfacing with a wide range of customers and must be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Candidate must be familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), general drafting practices, and a demonstrated ability to produce production drawings using Solidworks (similar CAD Experience may be considered as well), CAD data management, and configuration management systems. This position is a hands-on role.
Ability to cooperate in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team is essential.
Candidate must be a US Citizen, and must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Preferred experience with Solidworks and Simulation.
Experience in the following disciplines is a plus: Design for energetics, explosives handling and/or testing, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), cable design and routing, and fabrication / production environments.
Candidates with an existing, active Security Clearance are preferred.
Knowledge and experience in mechanical and/or electrical fuzing systems or rocket and missile warheads is preferred.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
