Dynetics has been selected by NASA to participate in the development and demonstration of a Human Landing System (HLS). Dynetics is seeking project engineers, systems engineers, mechanical design engineers, electrical engineers, structural and thermal analysts, manufacturing engineers, test engineers, technicians, and operators to join a diverse team in support of the development of the HLS that will carry the first woman and next man to the Moon by 2024.
Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking talented Thermal Analysts to join a diverse, highly skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems involving space systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective intelligence, engineering, and scientific solutions.
The Thermal Analysts will support the Dynetics Space Systems Division with development of HLS with primary responsibility for performing detailed thermal/aerothermal analysis and design. The Thermal Analysts will interface with subsystem design leads and other subsystem analysts/engineers, mechanical designers, component engineers, test engineers, safety, reliability, other vehicle subsystem engineers, and ground system engineering teams. Candidates will support test planning and test data analysis and completion of verification/validation documents and reports to support vehicle certification. Candidates will work in a team environment to support conceptual design through product implementation.IND2
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must have at least three (3) years of thermal- and fluid-system hardware-related experience.
Candidates must have experience with thermal, fluid, and mechanical systems engineering, analysis, and testing.
Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with complex system engineering practices and processes, including the product development cycle through qualification and production.
Candidate must demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Candidates must also have experience with one or more thermal/fluid/mechanical system design and analysis tool(s); in-depth experience with SINDA/FLUINT by C&R Technologies is preferred.
Candidates must have demonstrated an ability to deliver results in a team environment and independently.
Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preference will be shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
