Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Strategic Procurement Sourcing Specialist to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost- effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
This position will be located at our Mid-City facility and will be a dedicated resource for program engineering and the Strategic Procurement team on critical program material/services requirements. The position will be part of the Corporate Supply Chain team and will be a liaison between program engineering and strategic procurement on mission critical material requirements.
Duties include but are not limited to:
The position will require frequent coordination with project managers, engineers, buyers, inventory managers, and suppliers to ensure that material requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner and complete proposal support documentation is maintained.
Candidate must possess a BS Degree in Business Administration, or related field.
6+ years of applicable government experience in lieu of degree.
Candidates should have 1-3+ years or more relevant experience with the entire procurement life cycle in a DOD government contracting/procurement environment.
Candidate must have strong sourcing/quoting skills including expertise in evaluating, negotiating and executing material and labor purchases in accordance with the FAR and best commercial practices.
High level of communication skills both written and verbal are required.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Deltek Costpoint experience preferred. Qualified candidates should have a working knowledge of FAR and DFAR.
Candidate must be highly motivated and detail oriented. Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, problem solving, verbal, and writing skills desired.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
