Dynetics has been selected by NASA to participate in the development and demonstration of a Human Landing System (HLS). Dynetics is seeking project engineers, systems engineers, mechanical design engineers, electrical engineers, structural and thermal analysts, manufacturing engineers, test engineers, technicians, and operators to join a diverse team in support of the development of the HLS that will carry the first woman and next man to the Moon by 2024.
Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking talented Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineers to join a diverse, highly-skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems involving space systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective intelligence, engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineers will support the Dynetics Space Division in the development of a human lander system and support equipment, primarily responsible for integration and qualification of GNC hardware into a seamless operational system, working with industry teammates. This position requires the ability to translate high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and to work with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower level detailed requirements. The candidate will work in a team environment to support design through product implementation, and should be able to lead engineering design disposition on all documentation discrepancies.IND3
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidates must have at least three (3) years of direct experience in role as detailed above with an engineering company or system integrator where design, testing, and/or modification of human rated aerospace systems GNC hardware was involved.
Candidates must have experience in design, analyzing, and tuning spacecraft attitude and position control loops using time and frequency domain techniques.
Candidates must have experience with design or selection, and qualification, of space rated GPS receivers, star trackers, accelerometers, rate gyros, magnetometers, and sun sensors.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preference will be shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
