Position Description

The Strategic Programs office of Dynetics Technical Solutions, Inc. (DTS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynetics, Inc., is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer Lead for its Hypersonics line of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The successful candidate will serve as the Electrical Engineering Lead for the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) program. Responsibilities will include overseeing electrical design areas such as digital/FPGA electronics, firmware development, high power electrical systems (DC and AC (single and 3-phase)) in a tactical ground system. Additional duties include overseeing test activities, managing tasks, managing resources and communicating with the customer.

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field from an ABET accredited school is required. Candidate should have at least 10+ years of relevant experience.

The following skills/abilities are desired:

  • Circuit design experience – analog, digital, power

  • Familiarity with Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) design

  • Experience with military tactical ground systems such as missile launchers

  • Organizational skills to document designs, assist with Technical Data Packages (TDP) and support production and test of LRHW

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

The ideal candidate would have experience in military weapon electronics/avionics/environmental design and testing along with a current DoD Secret clearance.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
