Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking talented Engineers and Analysts to join a diverse, highly-skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems involving space systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Dynetics Space System Division is seeking qualified engineers and analysts to support NASA programs; including the history-making Human Landing System (HLS) that will put the first woman and next man on the Moon. We are seeking systems engineers, test engineers, electrical/mechanical engineers, stress/structural engineers and analysts to join a diverse team in support of the development of a Human Lander System that will take us back to the surface of the Moon by 2024. The engineer/analyst will support the Propulsion Integrated Product Team (IPT) with development of the human lander system propulsion subsystem.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution with a 3.0 or higher GPA.

Candidate must have demonstrated experience with space related programs or projects.

Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

The position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Preference shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.

Preferred candidates will also meet some of the following:

  • Space hardware-related experience.

  • Experience with defense or commercial space engineering practices and processes.

  • Experience in the product development cycle through qualification and production.

  • Experience in the development and testing of space hardware and/or subsystems.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
