Dynetics, a Leidos company, is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a branch manager for the Ground Vehicle Systems Design Branch. The candidate selected will join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, aerospace, cyber, space and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. Dyneitcs is involved in multiple contracts to provide ground vehicles for high energy weapons, launchers, and target surrogates for a number of DoD customers. The position will manage a team of designers and engineers that provide requirements definition, design, assembly and test of ground system products. The individual is expected to have a command of Mil-Std-31000 TDP requirements, GD&T as well as a background of either doing the analysis required or leading skilled individuals to complete analysis required to verify that requirements are satisfied.
Past launcher experience and LRU packaging experience is a plus.
Excellent communication skills are required. Individual must be self-motivated to do excellent work that exceeds customer expectations. Candidate must present a professional demeanor at all times while representing Dynetics to customers and stakeholders.
Candidate must be willing to travel as needed to locations across the U.S.
-This position will require at least a BS in Engineering.
-Candidates must have a strong technical background in aerospace/DOD hardware programs with at least 8 years of experience, in requirements definition, design, development and test of hardware systems.
-The candidate must have experience in Project/Program Management of hardware design teams to include developing integrated master schedules, and planning required to execute small to medium sized programs.
-Must have a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
-A background in DoD programs is required. Candidates must have good organizational skills and attention to detail, and work well in a team environment.
-Candidates must be US citizen and be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.
Experience and demonstrated skill in any of the following areas is also a plus:
•Project or people management
•Proposal writing or business development
•Understanding of Systems Engineering processes
•CONOP development for assembly, integration and testing of hardware
•MDA program experience
•Launcher/LRU design/analysis experience
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
