Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a qualified Program Coordinator to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems in US Army Air & Missile Defense for the Product Development & Manufacturing Division. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting program management efforts to include tracking workflow, scheduling meetings, arranging travel to sites, management assistance on projects, defining and communicating feedback, and working with program management leadership, engineers and operations personnel to resolve issues. As an integral member of the team, the selected candidate will work closely with all levels and types of staff found in a corporate environment. This person will also be comfortable working in a fast paced, creatively diverse group. The Program Coordinator will help ensure our Program Management, Operations and Engineering requirements are neatly collected, program status is clearly communicated on a regular basis, and deadlines are met. Therefore, a professional demeanor and good communications skills are required. Ethical behavior and the ability to be trusted with confidential data and other corporate matters is critical.

Key duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute meeting minutes
  • Drafting of meeting agendas and PowerPoint presentations
  • Travel planning
  • Coordinate within Dynetics, with Industry Partners and Customers to assist Program Management with meeting cost, schedule and performance requirements
  • Deliverables management
  • Ensuring program deadlines are met
  • Providing administrative support as needed
  • Undertaking program tasks as required
  • Developing program strategies
  • Ensuring program adheres to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
  • Assess program risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable
  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Project
  • Support the planning, preparation and execution of internal and external PMRs, EVMS reviews, IMS reviews, IBRs, Risk and Opportunity management reviews, Industry Partner meetings, customer meetings and others as necessary

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Technical (or related) field is required. Candidate should have at least eight (8) plus years of relevant experience. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, the candidate should have ten (10) plus years of directly applicable experience with either an Associate’s degree or 12+ years with a High School diploma or GED.

The following skills/abilities are desired:

  • Experience tracking program/project actions, budgets, and expenses
  • Basic skills with PCs and Microsoft Office applications
  • Work with a team of program management, engineers and operations personnel in a fast paced, quality critical environment
  • Able to multi-task and support various duties as needed and assigned within Dynetics, with Industry Partners and with Customers
  • Independent thinker and self-starter with proven organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines
  • Strong time management, organizational, and oral/written communications
  • Administration and Management – Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation and coordination of people and resources
  • Critical Thinking – Using logic and reasoning to identify and strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Able to compile data from various sources (excel spreadsheets) and draw conclusions, show gaps, projections, trends, etc.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Experience working in a DoD or Military Service program office or with Defense contractor supporting a DoD or Military Service program is highly desired

The ideal candidate would have working knowledge of business applications including Deltek Time and Expense, Deltek Costpoint, and Microsoft SharePoint.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
