Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Materials and Process Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Materials and Process Engineer will support design and development projects across the Dynetics/DTS portfolio to include but not limited to ground based weapons sytems, ground launchers, hypersonic glidebody, and re-entry vehicle programs. The individual will be responsible for specification and selection of materials for use in composite, metallic and cable assembly products. Responsibilites will include coordination with customer M&P organizations, assurance of acceptable material selection, and coordination with suppliers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Candidate must possess a Bachelor's of Science in an Engineering field or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
-Candidate must have 3+ years of experience directly applicable to the aerospace industry materials and processes discipline.
Candidate must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.
Knowledge of MDA PMAP, SMC-S-009, NASA-STD-6008, and NASA-STD-6016, is a plus.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
