In anticipation of NASA awarding the Human Landing System (HLS) Option A contract in the near future, Dynetics Space System Division is seeking qualified engineers and analysts to support NASA programs; including the history-making Human Landing System that will put the first woman and next man on the Moon. We are seeking project engineers, systems engineers, test engineers, electrical/mechanical engineers, stress/structural engineers and analysts to join a diverse team in support of the development of a Human Lander System that will take us back to the surface of the Moon by 2024.
The successful Component Engineer will support the Dynetics Space Division in the development of a human lander system and support equipment, primarily responsible for the development of the program Electrical/Electronic/Electromechanical (EEE) Parts management Plan, and the selection, qualification, testing of EEE Parts. Candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain EEE Part Control Plan, EEE parts database for space application, and EEE part policies. Preparation of technical and progress reports on tasks being performed, specifications development, supplier evaluation, and support in resolving manufacturing issues is also expected. Candidate will work in a team environment to support conceptual design through product implementation, and should be able to lead engineering design disposition on all documentation discrepancies.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university. Candidates with Masters and PhD Degrees are encouraged to apply, with degree level substitution for direct industry work experience.
Candidate must have 10+ years direct experience in role as detailed above with an engineering company or system integrator where design, testing, and/or modification of aerospace systems was involved. Proven experience in the analysis of passive EEE parts, semiconductor physics and/or operation of parts such as hybrids, IC's and capacitors along with experience in EEE parts testing, failure analysis and non-conformance resolution and disposition is required. Familiarity with radiation effects on EEE parts, knowledge of avoiding and mitigating counterfeit part usage along with knowledge of design, manufacturing, materials and processes for EEE parts is desired.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
