Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking seeking talented Project Engineers to join a diverse, highly skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems involving propulsion elements. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective intelligence, engineering, and scientific solutions.
The Project Engineers will support the The Propulsion Integrated Product Team (IPT) for development of HLS with primary responsibility for planning, establishing, tracking, and executing complex tasks within technical, schedule, and budget constraints and will report to the IPT leadership and program management on project progress. The Project Engineers will coordinate with corporate contracts, pricing, and accounting to ensure projects are set up and managed according to company policies and processes. The Project Engineers will work with customers and suppliers to ensure tasks are completed on time and budget. Candidates will also interface with IPT and program leadership and other project engineers/managers, mechanical designers, component engineers, test engineers, safety, and quality with Dynetics. Candidate will work in a team environment to support conceptual design through qualification and product implementation. Candidate should expect to frequently interact with suppliers and customers.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must have at least 5-10 years of space hardware-related experience.
Candidates must have experience with complex system engineering practices and processes, including the product development cycle through qualification and production.
Candidates must have experience with thermal, fluid, and mechanical systems engineering, analysis, and testing.
Candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of development program data deliverable requirements, with experience working government contracts.
Candidates must be able to work with suppliers to help them meet both hardware and non-hardware deliverable requirements.
The position may require travel, including periods of frequent travel for critical program assembly, integration, and test activities.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preference shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
