Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The position will lead the execution of mechanical design and analysis engineering tasks supporting the Department of Defense, intelligence, and missile applications. Candidate will be responsible for applying sound mechanical engineering & design principles in the development of machined, structural, sheet metal, & composite component parts. Candidate will be responsible for bill of material development and component specification for mechanical assemblies. Candidate must be able to apply engineering design processes, such as design for manufacture, drawing production, PDM/PLM/configuration management, and integration and development of complex mechanical systems.
-BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
-Candidate must have a minimum of 8+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
-Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
Candidate must be a resident of or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Experience and demonstrated skill in any of the following areas is also a plus:
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
