Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Planning and Scheduling Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. The scheduling manager is responsibile for creating and maintaining long-term relationships with internal and external customers, as well as supervise, manage, train, and lead a team of schedulers. Responsibilities also include evaluation of schedules, critical paths, metrics and schedule risk analysis. Comprises the ability to analyze critical path and constraints to determine the impacts to the schedule. Lead out in conducting analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules. In the event of an emergent requirement, disruption, or conflict, the scheduling manager will support program needs as required. Interact often with external customers and daily with internal customers, project staff and project teams to communicate project status and metrics. Coordinate with the entire program management team in the scheduling efforts to ensure the accomplishment of objectives/milestones are communicated clearly to the customer and the program management team. It is the scheduling manager’s responsibility to monitor the scheduling efforts throughout all phases of the project to ensure all aspects of the project are addressed.
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) is mandatory in order to review and assess earned value schedules for company and government compliance.
Ability to assist in integrating schedules with estimating and cost accounting programs as required.
Serve as a functional area expert and support proposal efforts as required. Helps to manage all scheduling efforts promptly by following company policies and procedures.
A bachelor’s degree is required. Candidate should have five twelve (12) years of directly applicable experience.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
-Independent thinker and self-starter is important, with solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task and support varied assignments.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
