Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Senior Manufacturing Project Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The candidate in this role will support our Electronics Manufacturing organization in the proposal and execution phases of the manufacture of highly complex electronics for various DoD, intelligence and commercial customers. This position will support the proposal and delivery of products involving electronics hardware, firmware, and software design for military applications. Candidate will work with internal/external customers and our design teams to help define manufacturing requirements and plans. Candidate will need the ability to work programmatic questions with internal/external customers and resolve technical uncertainty to keep the manufacturing effort on task. A suitable candidate for this role will be able to understand customer intent and be an effective liaison between our design and manufacturing teams in development of designs optimized for manufacturability.
As part of this position, candidate will provide project management of manufacturing activities in diverse technology areas including analog/digital circuits, RF, optics, software, firmware, programmable logic, embedded systems, thermal management, design for manufacturability, design for test, and design for MIL-STD environments. Project environments at times are fast paced and quickly changing due to a variety of influences. The successful candidate will help ensure that the requirements of the Dynetics manufacturing team are well communicated and harmonized with the design requirements and needs, in both the proposal and execution phases of the project.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical, business, or management discipline from an ABET accredited university. (A candidate may use 5 years of relevant experience to meet the Bachelor’s Degree requirement.)
Candidate must have 5 or more years of experience in the project management of the manufacture of deliverables containing electronic or electromechanical systems. This includes experience in managing quality, delivery schedules, and cost.
Candidate must have experience in proposal work for manufacturing projects, including cost estimating and proposal writing.
Candidate must have experience in monitoring manufacturing project execution.
Candidate must demonstrate an ability to work technical details with a diverse engineering staff as well as interact with stakeholders with and without technical backgrounds.
Applicant must be proficient in MS Office tools and have demonstrated experience effectively communicating in a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of Huntsville, AL or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Candidate should demonstrate the ability to work well in a team environment and work to find solutions to challenges involving multiple stakeholders.
Experience working a program delivering electronic prototypes for the DoD community is a plus.
Position can have the opportunity to shape and execute business development efforts – experience doing so would be a plus.
Experience using Microsoft Project for creating and managing project schedules is a plus.
Experience performing risk management, safety analysis, and test planning is a plus.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning tools (such as Costpoint ERP) is a plus.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
