Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented System Administrator to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The successful candidate will perform systems administration and management duties with all components of classified information systems on physical and virtual platforms to support contract computing needs. This system will contain Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems, network storage devices, authentication servers, and workstations. This position requires attention to detail, critical thinking, solid organizational skills, and great customer service skills. The position also requires strong written and oral communication skills.
Candidate will be expected to Document existing process and procedures, to make suggestions about and assisting in improving our current operations. The candidate will need to research new technologies, their best practices and present how to implement new technologies into our environments with a focus on secure implementations.
The candidate will be expected to work with fellow team members, our security staff as well as their user base in a constructive manner to present cost-effective, relevant, and responsive IT solutions.
The candidate must be able to adapt to and respond quickly to challenging problems. The candidate should be prepared to assist customers to meet their goals while working within various US Government policy frameworks.
Must have HS diploma with a minimum of three years professional IT experience with administration of networks and information systems.
This position requires the candidate be compliant with DOD 8570 baseline certification requirements for IAT II with a current Security + CE or equivalent. An acceptable computing environment certification will be obtained within 6 months of hire. (Windows, Linux, VMWare, Server+, and Storage computing environment certifications are a few acceptable examples.)
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Linux or other open-source operating systems certifications are favorable. Knowledge of and familiarity with VMWare virtualization is a plus.
Knowledge of PowerShell and batch scripting is a plus.
It is desired that the candidate be familiar with US Government policies and directives (e.g., NIST 800-53, NISPOM, JSIG/JFAN, and/or DCID Memorandums) Experience with relevant JSIG/JAFAN or ICD RMF accreditation process is a plus, but not required.
Familiarity with SCC scanner and DISA Stigs would be beneficial. Nessus experience would be considered positively.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
