The Strategic Programs office of Dynetics Technical Solutions (DTS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynetics, is seeking a qualified GPS Engineer for its hypersonics line of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The successful candidate will serve as a Global Positioning System (GPS) Engineer that will support GPS receiver simulation, operation and testing leading to production of Hypersonic Glide Bodies (HGB); additionally candidate should have work with antennas, RF systems, telemetry systems, flight termination systems. Specific duties may encompass procurement, integration, and test of flight hardware along with developing test equipment and tools for supporting hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) equipment to include RF components. Review of GPS related drawings and work instructions as well as resolving data gaps and derive requirements in support of HGB technical data packages and test documents. Assist in preparation of request for proposals to support component procurement, SAASM approvals, manufacturing support circuitry, quality assessment, acceptance test requirements and related documentation. Support/oversee development of test equipment and test processes as well as review test data to include setup/operation of programming test equipment and working with other IPT areas to collect and review data. Support production operations to include troubleshooting and onsite repairs/rework. Work will be conducted in an integration/production facility along with a laboratory environment.
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field from an ABET accredited school is required. Candidate should have at least 5+ years of relevant experience.
The following skills/abilities are desired:
Circuit design experience – analog, digital, power
Software skills – C, MATLAB, Simulink
Knowledge of GPS receiver operation, integration and test
Experience with GPS simulators
Experience with GPS antennas including Anti-Jam antennas
Experience with RF systems, telemetry systems, and flight termination systems
Organizational skills to document designs, assist with Technical Data Packages (TDP) and support production and test of HGB
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
The ideal candidate would have experience in electronics/avionics/environmental testing and have a current DoD Secret clearance.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
