Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Senior TPS Program Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The individual will perform Program Management for an engineering team involved with fabrication and integration of Thermal Protection Systems (TPS). The position will have responsibility for planning, tracking, and execution of complex tasking within technical, schedule, and budget constraints.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar technical discipline.

Candidates must have a strong technical background in defense systems (or subsystems) with at least 10+ years of experience in Engineering and Program Management.

The candidate must have at least 10 years’ experience in the fabrication and integration of TPS with specific experience with the Common Hypersonic Glide Body preferred.

Strong verbal and written skills along with a solid practical knowledge of complex missile weapon systems and system integration is required.

Candidate must have strong leadership credentials, good organizational skills, attention to detail and work well as a key member of a team often tasked to be highly responsive and agile in order to satisfy critical warfighter needs.

The candidate must have experience in the following areas:

1. Research and Development Programs (Missile or Rocket systems)
2. Flight Programs (Missile or Rocket systems)
3. Cost estimating
4. Budget management
5. Schedule development and management
6. Effective communication of information between various engineering disciplines as well as strong briefing skill with Sr. Gov’t customers (SES, General Staff) and C level leadership.
7. Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
