The successful candidate will lead long-range strategy development, business development and capture and proposal management focused on our Avionics Products Line of Business. The business line consists of products and capabilities in these areas: telemetry, flight data recorders, electronic controllers and control actuation systems, flight safety systems, and custom airborne electronics.
A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of a broad scope of electronics, test and evaluation, and aviation systems. They should have a strong understanding of the crucial role of providing airborne electronics that ensures reliable data is available for test and evaluation and flight critical systems.
The candidate should also be familiar with a broad range of areas including position navigation and timing, autonomous systems, manned and unmanned aviation systems, missile systems, telemetry systems, instrumentation, sensors, and rotorcraft systems.
Duties include, but are not limited to strategic planning, opportunity identification qualification and closure. The candidate will aid, mentor, and assist team members in developing capture campaign plans. The candidate will Identify, prioritize, schedule and execute tasks to capture work and will actively participate in leading and developing proposals.
The Business Development Manager will coordinate efforts within Dynetics and across Leidos organizations to identify and capture cooperative opportunities. The BD Manager will maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities and execute cost effective win strategies to achieve annual financial objectives. The position requires the ability to work vertically and horizontally across organizational boundaries, and provide BD leadership/mentorship to less senior BD members. The BD manager will interface with financial and contracts support personnel supporting proposal development and business capture processes. Other duties include management of business development resources, data gathering and analysis of return on investment.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance. Must be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
