Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Program Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems in DoD weapon system development and delivery. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Program Manager will be responsible for development, delivery, and sustainment of a major weapon system. Program activities include design, integration, verification, and manufacturing of complex DoD systems. The position will be responsible for planning, tracking, and executing complex tasks within technical, schedule and budget constraints. Projects involve management of Dynetics activities and key subcontractors offering diverse skill sets throughout each program phase.

The Program Manager will lead the customer interaction and manage the customer relationship during program-building and program-execution phases, and will play a key role in keeping the program sold and developing additional revenue opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must have at least 15 years of experience managing projects with technical content, and a thorough understanding of DoD acquisition.

Candidate must have effective communication skills to establish goals, conduct technical design reviews, and establish customer relationships.

Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively leading complex programs.

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Experience and demonstrated skill in the following areas are preferred:

  • Management of a >$100M Program to develop or deliver weapons or other defense systems to a government customer
  • Supporting Capture and Bid of >$100M procurement
  • Managing programs involving Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturability and Reliability, software development, and hardware design processes
  • Managing efforts involving significant subcontractor/supplier activity
  • Project estimating and tracking using EVMS or equivalent
  • Risk Management to navigate complex requirements throughout program execution
  • DoD Milestone decision board artifacts
  • Bachelor's of Science in an Engineering or Science field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
