Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Data Center Administrator to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Candidate will support network engineering efforts that include studying, developing, integrating, deploying, and automating IT systems in the customer’s data center. Candidate will support installation, testing, and maintenance of network hardware and software components, as well as support the implementation, integration, and refresh of new or revised systems. Using broad knowledge of computer technology; systems design, development, and configuration management; automated and manual information processing systems, data sources, data flow; and interaction of existing IT systems the candidate will identify, define, forecast, analyze, and research a variety of IT systems to provide audit capabilities and ensure the security and soundness of IT systems.

Candidate shall attend regular team meetings, such as a daily stand-up, planning sessions, and other status meetings, as well as exhibit good judgment in all external and internal communications. Candidate will provide leadership and guidance and obtain cooperative support in order to carry out IT projects, goals, and initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree with a minimum of five years’ experience in IT or Associates Degree with six years’ experience
  • At least three years’ experience with the design, engineering, implementation, and support of network routing and switching solutions, preferably for very large enterprise or data center customers.
  • At least two years’ hands on experience with the implementation and support of network security tools, especially an understanding of how access control lists and security contracts are implemented.
  • Experience creating and editing automation scripts using scripting languages and automation tools to automate common configuration tasks.
  • Thorough knowledge of project management, planning, and management control techniques as well as resource estimation and cost benefit analysis techniques relative to project management functions.
  • Effective formal oral and written communication skills to interact with others, prepare reports, and make presentations to management

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to tactfully provide leadership and guidance and obtain cooperative support in order to carry out IT projects, goals, and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of network fabric controller technologies for network provisioning, control, and maintenance automation.
  • Ability to follow written instructions or technical guides and able to prioritize tasks to deploy and maintain IT systems
  • Experience staying organized in a dynamic work environment
  • Proficient in prioritizing tasks, identifying blockers, assessing project implications, and coordinating leadership guidance to carry out IT projects, goals, and initiatives
  • Work is non-sedentary and could require long intervals of standing. Candidate may regularly crawl, crouch, and kneel; climb ladders; and lift and move items up to 50lbs.

  • Must be able to support an on-call schedule that is 24/7/365

  • Must be willing to travel to other locations to support the mission as necessary

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance.
