Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented RF Electro/Mechanical Technician to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
Candidate will be responsible for electronic and mechanical assembly of a variety of electronic hardware including electrical and electromechanical assemblies, some of which are RF based. This position will work on a variety of products to include both military and commercial customers. Most work will take place in a manufacturing environment; however, some will take place at customer locations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; computer skills (MES, ERP, PLM) associated with assembly tasks (including proficiency in following corporate production control processes), assembling products using both work instructions as well as mechanical drawings, executing Acceptance Test Procedures against assembled products for delivery.
This position will involve assisting in the deployment, assembly, operation, and maintenance of RF test equipment and systems at designated operating areas to support assigned field demonstrations, experiments and exercises. The candidate will team with other personnel to conduct site surveys, perform equipment calibration, recommend equipment configurations, and provide for packing, shipping, deployments, conduct operations, and report results.
Candidate must has a high school diploma or a GED, with a minimum of 5 years of work experience as a RF Electro/Mechanical Technician (or similar technical discipline).
Candidate must have experience in assembly of hardware (electronic, electro-mechanical and RF; some of which are small), be mechanically inclined, and have demonstrated a good work ethic and responsibility in previous work experience in this type of job.
Candidate will be required to have the computer skills associated with these assembly tasks, including proficiency in using corporate production control processes, creating documents and spreadsheets for manufacturing information such as work instructions, parts lists, inventory reports, etc.
Candidate will be required to have experience reading mechanical assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and other manufacturing documentation.
Candidate must have experience working with design engineers and manufacturing engineers to understand assembly requirements for new products moving into production.
This position requires good communication skills, working well on a team with diverse skillsets, working in a fast-paced environment, the ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted, and a willingness to take on a variety of duties to help the team be successful.
Travel to designated demonstration, exercise, and experiment areas will be required.
Candidate must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.
Preferred candidate will possess experience with:
- Testing, debugging, and repair of simple to medium complexity electronic, electro-mechanical and RF equipment, utilizing test equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, etc
- Executing Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPS) of simple to medium complexity electronic, electro-mechanical and RF equipment, utilizing test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, and power meters.
- Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) Procedures and safeguards
- Current or prior certification to IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, & IPC 7711/7721
Prior military experience with RF devices/components is a plus.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
