Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics, Inc. provides cost-effective engineering, and responsive scientific IT solutions.
The ISSO position requires ingenuity, critical thinking, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for supporting systems in a classified environment and following US Government policies in an effort to maintain security compliance. The ISSO will report to the Dynetics Information System Security Manager (ISSM) will work at the customer location.
Candidate selected for this position will be responsible for:
Assist with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization process by developing and maintaining artifacts to meet security requirements.
Audit information systems to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures while reporting any discrepancies to the ISSM or FSO.
Manage user access; conduct user briefings and coordinate with System Administrator prior to activating and deactivating user accounts.
Perform basic troubleshooting methods and information system security principles on a routine basis.
Ensure Configuration Management (CM) and the security relevant functions of all associated hardware, software, firmware, peripherals.
Respond to classified spills or other security-related incidents.
Assist with sanitization and release of hardware in accordance with security. policies and Authorizing Official (AO) guidance.
Operate scanning tools such as SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC) and Tenable Nessus.
Perform vulnerability scans and certification testing at scheduled intervals; weekly, monthly, semiannually, or as required.
Monitor system vulnerabilities and test/update system patches, as needed.
Follow system security lockdown guidance found in NIST, NSA and DISA STIGs.
Possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related Information Technology degree program.
A minimum of 5+ years of applicable ISSO experience is required.
SIPRNet and COMSEC experience is required.
Experience with security configurations across multiple operating systems in various environments, to include Windows utilizing Active Directory/Group Policy, Linux, etc. is required.
Candidate must demonstrate experience in interpreting government security guidance documents such as DoDI 8510.01, NISPOM, JSIG, ICDs.
Candidate with IT (Windows, Linux) and/or security related certifications (Security+ CE, CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.) is required.
Candidate will be required to obtain DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level I certification within six months of hire date. Current possession is a plus.
Candidate must be highly organized and self-motivated with excellent documentation skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Candidate should be able to communicate effectively with customers and team members at all levels.
May be required to travel.
Candidate must be a US Citizen, and must be a resident of the Colorado Springs, CO area or willing to relocate to the Colorado Springs, CO area.
Experience with DoD customers and requirements, primarily the US Army.
U.S. Citizenship and a current Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance with SCI eligibility is required. Must possess active SCI clearance with current investigation (within last 4.5 years) and be able to maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
