Dynetics, a Leidos company, is seeking a talented Software Development Manager to lead a diverse software team to create unique solutions for complex problems. The Software Manager will lead software development teams through the software development process - design, test, and integration, to support a variety of Dynetics internal and external customers. The candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced working environment and be a motivated independent learner.
The candidate must be highly organized with an excellent technical background, as the candidate must be a strong technical contributor as well as a leader of teammates.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must possess a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must have at least 15 years of professional working experience.
Candidate must have demonstrated a minimum of 5 years of experience effectively leading software teams to deliver highly technical software solutions to meet dynamic schedules and customer requirements. Candidate must have experience in analyzing and developing requirements, designing and maintaining software products, and implementing software designs. Candidate must be able to parse ambiguous requirements and translate into team direction and guidance. Candidate must have experience developing system level architectures to encompass different facets of system development, to include interfaces to the electrical-mechanical subsystems. Candidate must have experience design System of Systems launcher communication software for the Department of Defense.
Candidate must have experience working with US Army customers and managing customer relations. Candidate must have experience working with the Enduring IFPC program office.
Candidate must have experience preparing and presenting demonstrations and briefings to customers and management in demonstrations and Program Management Reviews, to include both technical and financial data. Candidate must have experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and task management.
Candidate must have experience mentoring teammates and providing guidance to accomplish tasks and projects. Candidate must have experience advocating for teammates. Candidate must have experience in recruitment efforts, to include applicant screening in DATS.
Candidate must have experience with peer reviews, automated testing, and document generation.
Candidate must demonstrate strong competency in software development in C and C++, and possess an aptitude for good software design techniques.
Candidate must have experience contributing technical content for proposals and white papers.
Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or higher.
