Dynetics, a Leidos company, is seeking an Enterprise Information Technology (IT) Database Administrator to join a diverse and highly skilled team. The candidate will provide IT database support for proposing, designing, coordinating, implementing, safeguarding, administering and troubleshooting information system (IS) databases in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
The candidate must be able to establish, implement, and document database integration, maturation, and migration strategies. The candidate should be familiar with the unified modeling language (UML) and be able to implement databases using documentation containing UML. The candidate must be familiar with developing and deciphering entity relationship diagrams, dataflow diagrams, and system architecture diagrams. The candidate must be able to install, configure, maintain and evaluate information system databases for both classified and unclassified environments including remote offices. The candidate must be able to design, implement, and administer information system databases that support enterprise manufacturing systems, reporting systems, and business unit operations across the organization. The candidate must be able to analyze over-all system requirements, and develop database and database security architectures that meet business needs. The candidate must be able to verify IT projects involving database components meet business requirements, security requirements, schedule, cost, and effectively integrate with existing systems. The candidate must be able to maintain and document databases across multiple systems, and ensure assigned databases operate in accordance with information security policies and procedures.
The candidate must be able to manage, configure and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases. The candidate must be capable of following configuration and change management processes as they pertain to database systems. The candidate must also be able to provide timely customer service to users of data-driven systems, business applications and supporting systems, and enable operations across multiple lines of business. The candidate must be familiar with ETL operations, database optimization techniques, and data loss prevention and recovery operations.
The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, CS, MIS or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience working with database systems.
Candidate must have a strong technical understanding of information systems and information systems security, as well as experience in implementing and managing databases and database servers.
Candidate must have demonstrated ability to design, implement, and administer enterprise databases.
Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and resident of the North Alabama area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
A Master's degree in the same or related fields is a plus.
Leadership experience and ability to manage projects and project teams is a major plus.
Candidate should be familiar with and able to implement security technical implementation guidance and benchmark checklists as applicable to supported databases.
Familiarity with the NIST Risk Management Framework, FIPS, FISMA, and CMMC is highly desired.
Business continuity and disaster recovery knowledge/experience is a plus.
A customer service mentality and ability to function in a fast-paced, continuously changing, people-oriented environment is highly preferred.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
