Position Description

Dynetics Technical Solutions (DTS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynetics, is seeking talented Clean Room Technicians for its Directed Energy line of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The successful candidates will support the Integration and Test IPT through multiple program phases including planning, prototype production, testing, integration, and final delivery of a High Energy Laser system (IFPC-HEL). The candidates will be part of an I&T group whose work will include supporting construction and maintenance of a portable clean room structure as well as maintenance of a larger, permanent clean room. Work will be conducted in an integration/production facility along with a laboratory environment.

Specific job duties may include:

  • Supporting integration and testing
  • Assisting with clean room setup
  • Working in clean room
  • Preparing hardware for entry/exit from clean room
  • Cleaning/bagging kits and assemblies
  • Performing weekly cleanings
  • Performing routine particulate tests to ensure cleanliness
  • Inspecting and staging hardware
  • Assisting in developing clean room procedures
  • Responsible for safety of lab environment. Interface with safety organization to ensure that lab is complying with latest safety processes.
  • Documentation of lab and production facility processes

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field or an Associate’s degree in a relevant mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing field is required.

Candidate should have at least 5+ years of relevant experience in a clean room for lasers, space flight hardware, satellites, or similar applications.

In lieu of an associate’s degree, candidates should have 10+ years of directly applicable experience with a High School diploma or GED and the following skills/abilities:

  • General “handyman” skills
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Experience with laser, space flight hardware, satellites, or similar applications
  • Knowledge of ISO 14644 Clean Room Standards, particularly parts 1-14
  • General laser and optics knowledge desired
  • Knowledge of gowning requirements
  • Forklift license preferred
  • Crane operator license preferred
  • Documentation of procedures
  • Lab management experience

Other Qualifications

Candidates must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.

Position is full-time and candidates must work on-site.

  • Organizational – Needs to be able to maintain an efficient lab space to minimize disruptions to work flow.
  • Quality - Attention to detail is critical to mission success.
  • Self-starter - Must be willing to take ownership of tasks where needed.
  • Flexibility – Must be willing to work with minimal documentation and in some cases be the pathfinder for new tasks.
  • Experience with missile systems is beneficial

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
