Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a passionate, detailed-oriented problem-solver to serve as Production Manager to support the Thermal Protection System Production Program as part of the Advanced Materials Product Group. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

As an integral member of the TPS Production Team, the successful candidate will serve as the Production Manager with direct responsibility for external suppliers and will maintain contact with internal customers, including Program Office, Quality, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Contracts as well as the Customer. This position will balance multiple activities including but not limited to:

  • Lead definition of technical and management requirements for suppliers, including the development/review of supplier statements of work
  • Oversee all aspects of supplier execution (cost, schedule, technical, and quality)
  • Provide guidance and oversight of supplier performance within authorized scope of work
  • Work directly with Management and other functional teammates to include; engineering, quality, finance, security, and planning and control
  • Serve as the main focal point for the suppliers
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Subcontracts Administration to identify strategic needs / issues
  • Monitor, track, and report all aspects of supplier performance
  • Track supplier risk and opportunities
  • Ensure production and delivery schedules meet contractual requirements
  • Ensure inventory tracking is up to date, reflecting current status as well as projections, and communicates risks and issues to program management
  • Implement creative solutions to ensure program requirements are upheld and that supplier performance is maintained within program constraints
  • Mitigate and resolve supplier issues
  • Participate in Supplier Program Management Reviews, Status Meetings, or other programmatic subcontractor meetings as required
  • Participate in supplier assessments and other formal supplier reporting requirements
  • Performs other related job duties as required
  • Travel to supplier sites as required (20% - 30%)

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent from an ABET accredited institution with 10+ years or Master Degree with 5+ years applicable experience
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience with establishing scope of work and writing technical and non-technical programmatic documentation, including but not limited to statements of work, subcontractor deliverables, management plans, contracts/subcontracts, proposals, price/cost analysis, subcontract specifications, and other subcontractor deliverable documents)
  • Strong skills/ expereince in Project Management methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership with direct reports
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership of cross-functional teams
  • Must be able to travel up to 30%

Security Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and a current Final Secret/SSBI Clearance is required with the ability to meet applicable program security eligibility requirements for the position. Candidate must meet the eligibility criteria to obtain and maintain a Final Top Secret Clearance along with maintaining program security eligibility.
