Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Business Operations Analyst to join a diverse team in creating unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial markets, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The position will work within the Vehicle Information Technologies Department and be responsible for providing Project Control and Operations support for commercial customer base. Individual will be assisting program and project managers in setting up and gathering needed work performance information to manage their programs; supporting initial program and project set-up; researching financial data and reporting anomalies; and working with various stakeholders, including Accounting Staff, Pricing Analysts, Contract Administrators, Technical Points of Contact, and Customer Personnel.
In particular, candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting invoicing in CostPoint, as well as manually preparing customized invoices and service reports to match customer requirements. Candidate will monitor and collect commercial Accounts Receivable and work closely with accounting personnel to meet corporate resource objectives and requirements.
Candidate will also collect and enter data into a department information system used to maintain Contractual and Administrative data related to these contracts and orders.
Requires Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related business discipline with a preferred minimum of 3+ year’s direct experience in a corporate environment or significant relevant experience will be considered notwithstanding the academic concentration, as will non-degreed candidates enrolled in their final term.
Candidate must have a working knowledge of basic Accounting principles. Experience should ideally include familiarity with Pricing, Contracts and Subcontracts, contract types, Project Set-up and Structure and Project Budgeting.
Candidate should have strong mathematical and analytical skills, and be able to work independently.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, and in particular with Excel, including being able to utilize functions (logical, mathematical, and text), data filtering, sorting, data validation, conditional formatting. Must have experience in performing metrical analysis, developing dashboards and/or data visualization. Proficiency with macros and pivot tables is desired.
Remote teleworking opportunity, however candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to consider relocation to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area to support team meetings and training.
Experience with Deltek Cost Point and especially Billing Module, IBM Cognos, Adobe Acrobat and electronic customer platforms is a plus.
The collaborative nature of the position will require a candidate to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong business acumen and high ethical standards. Prior experience in a customer service – related environment is also encouraged.
