Dynetics, a Leidos Company, is seeking a talented Entry-Level Sentinel Radar Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Engineer in this role will work on-site at Redstone Arsenal and will support the development, test, integration, and evaluation of the Sentinel radar. Support will include modeling, simulation, and analysis; hardware and software development, testing, and integration with netted systems. Travel to support field test events is required.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university with a 3.5 GPA or higher. Candidate must have excellent math skills and/or possess and show good fundamentals in electromagnetics, signals and systems, digital signal processing, and controls. Candidate must be able to apply these skills to the following areas: modeling, radar systems analysis, radar software/firmware development, RF hardware, and/or field testing support. Programming experience is a plus, but not required.
Modeling includes modeling of Sentinel radar functions, Sentinel radar interfaces, threats, timeline, clutter, EA/EP, etc. Radar systems analysis includes validation and verification of Sentinel radar software, testing and analysis of various Sentinel interfaces, and development of data reduction and data analysis tools. Sentinel radar software/firmware development includes development of tactical classification algorithms, tracking algorithms, and interfaces to netted systems. RF hardware includes transmitters, exciters, antennas, multi-channel receivers, and high-bandwidth receivers. Field test support includes site selection, test coordination/planning, flight profile analysis, radar and test equipment emplacement and breakdown, data logging, reduction, and analysis, troubleshooting issues, and support of test event activities.
Test support requirement includes light lifting (up to 30 or 40 lbs.).
Candidate must be willing to travel for field test events.
Experience with MATLAB, C++, and Python is a plus. Candidate must have good people skills and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
