Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking an Electrical Power System (EPS) Lead to join a diverse, highly-skilled team on Dynetics' Human Lander System (HLS) program. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions.

The EPS Lead is responsible for the design, development, testing, and integration of the Dynetics HLS Electrical Power System (EPS). This leadership role includes project planning, tasking, and oversight for subject matter experts, experienced, mid-career, and junior engineers on the EPS team within the Avionics, Software, and Power (ASP) Integrated Product Team within Dynetics’ Space Systems Division. This position requires close collaboration with internal Dynetics teammates, industry partners, and the NASA customer. Candidate will be involved in spacecraft power system architecture development, spacecraft power budget development and maintenance, power quality requirement definition, power system anomaly investigation/resolution during integration/testing, and acceptance and qualification of spacecraft power systems such as solar arrays, batteries, fuel cells, power regulation and power distribution systems. The position’s tasks also include review and approval of design artifacts, to include power system requirements documents, specifications, test plans, procedures, analyses, and reports. Basic Qualifications

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years' experience (7+ years preferred) as an Avionics or Power Engineer.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years' experience (5+ years preferred) in a technical leadership role.
• Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge of:

• Radiation Tolerant and/or Radiation Hardened electronics design experience
• Familiarity with spacecraft power systems, budgeting, and battery sizing
• Solar array design and test experience
• Fuel cell system design and test experience
• Familiarity with NASA and industry standards, including JSC 20793 and AIAA S-111/S-112, SAE AS5698, SMC-S-016

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
