Dynetics is presently under contract to NASA for design and development of a Human Landing System (HLS) in preparation for NASA’s procurement of commercial services to land crew and cargo on the Moon as part of a sustained lunar presence. Dynetics intends to be a significant contributor to the U.S. national human space exploration enterprise and to stimulating and building a commercial cislunar economy. Current and planned near-term HLS efforts at Dynetics will form the foundation for those future activities. Dynetics Space Systems Division is seeking a System Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Team Lead to join our diverse, highly skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems involving space systems. The SE&I Team Lead has primary responsibility for leading system engineering, system integration, system analysis, and system test of flight hardware. Under system engineering, the person leads development and management of system- and subsystem-level requirements, definition and control of system- and element-level interfaces, and data and configuration management. Under system integration, the person oversees system modeling and simulation, concept of operations development and mission planning, and life cycle cost modeling. Under system analysis, the person is responsible for managing natural environments, integrated and induced loads, flight dynamics, and other system-level analyses. The person is responsible for development and documentation of system test plans and procedures. The person also manages certain specialty areas like parts, materials, and processes (PMP).
The position requires experience leading an SE&I team on a complex development program. The candidate will work in a team environment to support conceptual design through product implementation and must be able to lead the integration of flight hardware from diverse technical disciplines into a flight-certified vehicle that meets performance, schedule, and cost requirements.
Preference will be shown to candidates who possess an M.S. or equivalent degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university. Preference will be shown to candidates who have experience and/or knowledge of the following:
