Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Senior Avionics Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The selected candidate will join a diverse team primarily focused on analysis, modeling, and simulation of avionics systems, primarily related to space flight systems and hardware. The candidate will also demonstrate experience in and/or enthusiasm toward developing a broader technical capability to support overlapping engineering and scientific disciplines. Candidate will be required to support multiple tasks in parallel, productively contribute in team environments, and communicate effectively to management, coworkers, and customers.

This position will be responsible for the overall avionics architecture, leading the design and development of the avionics system for human-rated space applications.

Basic Qualifications

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
• Candidate must have at least (15) fifteen years of direct experience performing avionics system design, preferably for human-rated space applications, including design techniques, test development and execution, and requirements development and verification.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area

Other Qualifications

• Preference shown to candidates who possess an advanced academic degree in an applicable field from an ABET-accredited university.
• Preferred candidate will have experience working on projects to support NASA, and working as part of a multi-organizational development team.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
