Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Linux Engineering Analyst to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

This position will engage in software integration into Linux based operating systems and software testing of developed system components. The Analyst will be responsible for requesting, tracking, testing, and integrating multiple software products into a functioning system. The Analyst must have educational or hands on experience installing software on a Linux based Operating Systems and troubleshooting dependency issues that result.

The resulting product will be delivered to customers ready to use. The Analyst will participate in the testing, bug fixing, and installation scripting of the delivered product and associated engineering releases.

Candidate must be capable of working independently and take pride in delivering a high-quality product.

Basic Qualifications

Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent degree from an accredited university.

Must have a minimum of 6 months experience performing software systems integration, system administration, or software test.

Candidate must demonstrate competency in Linux installation, configuration and use.

Other Qualifications

Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting is preferred.

Working knowledge of Bash scripting is preferred.

Experience with Agile/SCRUM development is preferred.

Experience with ESXI and RHEL Systems is a plus.

Holding a Security+ certification is a plus.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
