Position Description

Dynetics Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking talented Engineers and Developers to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Engineer or Developer in this role will support programs involving simulation and analysis; system/component performance assessment and verification and validation; basic to complex command and control (C2) and battle management concepts and techniques; and basic to complex radar theory with an emphasis on being able to analyze, assess, and characterize performance of radar data processing components such as signal processors, tracking and discrimination.

Candidates will develop software models, analysis tools, perform verification and validation of models, and create corresponding documentation. Candidates will apply a combination of effective communication and collaboration skills with strong technical interests/capabilities to work with and provide leadership in a highly technical and dynamic team of engineers and scientists solving challenging technical questions about complex radar and weapon systems.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Math, Applied Physics, or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited university with and provide evidence of a strong academic record. Candidates with advanced degrees in STEM disciplines and/or direct experience working with MDA radar systems or C2BMC are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applicants with 2+ years of related experience will be considered for this position.

Candidate must have excellent math skills and/or understand electromagnetics, signals and systems, digital signal processing, data analysis techniques, battle management, and track management algorithms. Candidate must have the capability to apply these skills in the following areas: radar/C2 modeling and analysis, algorithm and data evaluation, and/or simulation in digital environments.

Should be a motivated self-starter and problem solver, with experience executing within multi-disciplinary teams. Capabilities to mentor and/or provide direction to teammates, and junior engineers and analysts is a plus.

Position requires strong analysis skills, experience with signal processing, probability and statistics, and basic software design principles. Proficiency with C++ and familiarity with Python/MATLAB is preferred.

Candidate will be expected to represent Dynetics technically, professionally, and ethically, be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Candidate must have good communication and collaboration skills and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists. Ideally, candidate will have an interest in, and exposure to, complex radar systems (such as the AN/TPY-2, SBX, LRDR, CD, and UEWR BMDS radars). Candidates with experience in radar analysis and/or modeling & simulation are preferred. Technical management experience is also a plus.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.
