Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Physical Security Specialist to help create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Candidate selected will be responsible for providing physical security services. They will assist in all aspects of physical security including supporting our guard service, processing access control requests, changing combinations, assisting with establishing and disestablishing closed areas, key control, and supporting employee and visitor security briefing. The job requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic, who enjoys challenges and has the capability and desire to work independently with little or no supervision in a fast paced environment. Skills required include initiative, problem solving, tact, good written and oral communication skill set and diplomacy.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 4 or more years' experience in the Physical Security Professional field required.
• Candidate must be available to respond to after-hours security issues within 30 minutes of notification.
• Candidate must possess strong communication skills and attention to detail as well as the proven ability to work independently with others in a collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program (NISP), along with understanding the general workings of Access Control, Intrusion Detection System (IDS), US Government Lock Program and Close Circuit TV Systems would be a plus.

Candidate must be a resident of the Charlottesville area or be willing to relocate.

Other Qualifications

• 5 years in Industrial and/or National Security field is preferred.
• Experience with SIMS database is desired.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education preferred.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
