Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Electro/Mechanical Technician to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. The candidate will work closely with internal engineers and customers to design and build hardware to meet unique technical requirements.
Candidate will need to bring a diverse set of skills and an aptitude for solving complex problems. Candidate will be required to interpret drawings and use critical thinking to build and fabricate hardware.
Must have a high school diploma or a GED +2 years of applicable experience.
Must have an interest in fabrication of hardware, be mechanically inclined, and have demonstrated a good work ethic and responsibility in previous work experience in any type of job.
This position requires good communication skills, working well on a team with diverse skillsets, working in a fast-paced environment, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, and a willingness to take on a variety of duties to help the team be successful.
Basic experience reading schematic drawings and other manufacturing documentation are required.
Candidate will be required to have knowledge in basic computer skills and using Microsoft Office.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preference will be given to candidates that have experience fabricating hardware, the ability to read schematic drawings and other manufacturing documentation, experience with cable fabrication, general assembly experience, and/or designing and building systems of systems for DoD customers.
Associates Degree in a technical field is preferred.
Experience building electrical or mechanical systems for DoD customers is a plus.
Candidate must have IPC-WHMA-A-620 training or prove the ability to perform cable fabrication work.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
