Are you a recent grad with 2 or more years of experience or perhaps you’re a seasoned Software Developer? If you are, Dynetics is looking for Developers with experience to serve as an UAS Test Tool Software Developer within the Systems Interoperability, Integration, and Test Department?
You will join a diverse team of junior to senior software developers to create unique solutions for complex problems. We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, aerospace, cyber, space, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions.
We perform evaluation and testing of aviation software and systems/subsystems in support of Department of Defense (DoD) UAS development and deployment. As a member of the team, you will develop software tools to support testing efforts as directed by various DoD services and program offices
You’ll work within an established and very skilled software development team, contributing to various aspects of UAS interoperability, assisting with the development of software tools used by our test team to perform tests and analysis, resulting in generation of test reports with valuable findings for customers.
Our team develops a variety of tools for UAS command and control testing (standalone software), UAS communications/data links testing (software that interfaces with internally developed hardware), and unique, special-request UAS software tools directly for the warfighters in theater.
Many of the tools created and maintained are on the smaller side, allowing the team to have more freedom in their software process. The various tools are always presenting opportunities to learn new technologies and design philosophies.
This opportunity will provide a lot of recognition and great visibility, across the DoD services, into the excellent work and products that we produce for our customers.
Being a part of our team has the unique advantage of having several large and small DoD UAS assets (“drones”/unmanned aircraft, ground control stations, manned-unmanned teaming assets such as helicopters and remote video terminals, etc.) within our facility to allow for evaluation of these systems with the software tools we develop.
Our team and products provide a lot of “value added” to our customers and warfighters using our tools. This is a position on a capable and collaborative team with a variety of knowledge to share.

Though a security clearance is required for just about all Dynetics positions, most of the software development for this position is unclassified, which is what allows for the flexibility of remote work. Some discussion and testing may be classified, though minimal.
