Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a Junior Space Systems Engineer to join a diverse, highly-skilled team in aerospace systems design and simulation. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions.

The Junior Space Systems Engineer will aid in the development and integration of Commercial, Civil, and Military aerospace systems, to include satellites, constellations, launch vehicles, crewed space vehicles, aircraft, and missile systems. Primary responsibilities include development and evaluation of system and subsystem level requirements and verifications, development and documentation of test plans and procedures, supplier interface and management, and coordination among a multi-disciplinary team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree from an ABET-accredited university with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
  • Academic or professional experience with space flight hardware development, testing, and/or analysis required

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

  • Preferred candidate will have experience working with NASA, DoD, or commercial space industry in requirements development, test plans and procedures documentation, safety analysis, or test support. 

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
