Position Description

Dynetics, a Leidos company, is seeking a talented Trainer Sensor Systems Software Developer to develop and maintain high fidelity sensor simulation models for US Army and Air Force UAV/RPA (Unmanned Air Vehicle/Remotely Piloted Aircraft) trainer systems.

Are you highly organized and possess strong verbal and written communication skills? Are you interested in working with software that facilitates war fighters to train like they fight, since the sensor model products are designed to interoperate with tactical Ground Control Station software?

This role involves collaborative software development using the C++ programming language. If this, is You, APPLY?

Basic Qualifications

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or an equivalent degree.
  • Have experience in designing and maintaining software products and implementing software designs.
  • Have experience in software development, data structures, object-oriented design, and effective unit testing.



  Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the greater Huntsville, AL area.

Other Qualifications

  • 3 years of professional software development experience. (Can be waived for exceptional candidates.)
  • Have experience with software best practices such as peer reviews and document generation.

  • Prior experience with GPU acceleration a plus.

  • Experience with Synthetic Aperture RADAR a plus.

  • FORTRAN experience also a plus.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
