Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Software Architecture Development Lead to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

This position is in the Space Systems Division and will support a variety of government and commercial customers, including DoD and NASA. The selected candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) leading development of software architecture in support of a program team developing small satellites and satellite payloads.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
  • Candidate should have demonstrated mastery in fundamentals of data structures, algorithms, embedded systems, cloud-based systems, object-oriented design, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning
  • Candidate must have demonstrated strong competency in software development using C#, C++, Java, Python, Objective-C, Perl, or Ruby programming language
  • Candidate will participate in and contribute to software architecture development, software design, code reviews, and software/hardware integration activities
  • Candidate should have experience in model-based development
  • Candidate should have experience integrating hardware/software for embedded systems as well as cloud/container environments

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area

Other Qualifications

  • Preferred candidate will have a Master’s Degree or better in a related field
  • Experience with space systems (ground or flight) hardware/software and mission-critical code development is a plus
  • Preference shown to candidates who have experience supporting DoD or NASA programs
  • Proven ability to work well with cross-functional teams, showing excellent verbal and written communication skills, is preferred

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
